The Seven Product Marketing Habits of Industry Leaders
(and the Most Common Mistakes Holding Back the Others)

In a special Pragmatic/TMA event geared just for CMOs and VPs of marketing, Phil Myers of Pragmatic Marketing released new research on the paradox of technology marketing - why some products and companies that were well marketed fail while others succeed wildly in the absence of any marketing. Based on research and interviews from 400 companies, Pragmatic highlighted common pain points and success factors including the five mistakes that traditional marketers make and the seven success habits of industry leaders.

Examples of the success/failure equation from well-known companies such as Apple, Blackberry, SAS and Intuit were included along with case studies from selected companies from Pragmatic's base of over 3,000 customers and 40,000 trained alumni. Myers proposed a new industry model for making 'Big M' a new source of power in the technology value chain and discussed an implementation strategy for introducing it.
